Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya
Someone's crying, Lord, kumbaya
Someone's crying, Lord, kumbaya
Someone's crying, Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya
Someone's praying, Lord, kumbaya
Someone's praying, Lord, kumbaya
Someone's praying, Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya
He needs you Lord...
His children need him Lord...
Kumbaya, my Lord, Kumbaya

This was one of my favorite childhood songs...I never even knew what it meant. Now seeing it in writing I see it is a song of prayer. How beautiful that the Lord had me singing that often as a child. But what does Kumbaya mean?
